Blossom Tour: Hunza Nagar Gilgit Baltistan

Apricot, cherry blossom or spring season is one of the best and most interesting periods to visit to the mountain valley of Karakorum,  Hunza, Nagar,  Skardu and Gilgit During the spring season, the fruit trees erupt in white blossom, and down the valley, it looks like white carpet. The blossom starts first with the almond trees, then apricot trees, cherries, apples, peaches, and pears, which give a wonderful contrast of blossom among the high snowcapped mountains.  Apricot trees are more common in Hunza and Nagar valleys, which is famous legend fruit of the valley and, in ancient times, was main source of food

Drive through the Karakoram Highway,” the Eighth Wonder of the World,” and snake through the Great Mountain Ranges of the World The Himalayas, Karakoram, and Hindukush, under the shadow of Nanga Parbat (8125 meters) and Rakaposhi (7788 meters), and many countless others above 7000 and 6000 meters, peak up to the Khunjerab Pass (4733 meters), the highest medaled road that connects to China.

Blossom starts in March and April in Gilgit, an important historic town on the Ancient Silk Road and the former princely states of Hunza and Nagar valleys in the Northern Areas of Pakistan.

DAY 01 Islamabad

Arrive at International Airport, Islamabad, and check into your accommodation. Rest and prepare for the upcoming journey.

DAY 02 Islamabad –Naran/ Besham

Morning after break fast drive to Taxila, visit the impressive Archeological museum and excavated sites of Bhirmond, Sirkap and Julian Buddhist Monastery. After we continue drive to Besham, passing through the beautiful Abbotabad and Mansehra valleys/ (Naran and kaghan Valleys), Overnight hotel.

DAY 03 Besham – Gilgit

After break fast we drive to Gilgit, visit the 4th to 6th century Ad Rock carvings at Shatial and Chilas before proceeding to Gilgit  we stop at Three mountain junction point and Thalichi to have the magnificent view of Nanga Parbat. Arrive Gilgit and visit the 7th century Ad Buddha rock Carving and Colorful Bazaars of Gilgit City. Overnight hotel

DAY 04 Gilgit – HunzaNagar

Morning drive to Hunza valley, enroute stop at Ancient silk route view and the Rakaposhi viewpoint to have the magnificent view of Rakaposhi (7788m). Afternoon visit the 700 years old Baltit Fort and explore the area. Overnight hotel.

DAY 05 Explore HunzaNagar

After breakfast drive to Hoper village in Nagar valley to enjoy the apricot tree spring blossom and short hike to the Hoper glacier after lunch . Drive to Duiker view point to have the magnificent sunset view of the Rakaposhi (7788 meters) Diran peak (7200 meters) Golden peak and Ultar group of peaks and many countless peaks can be seen from here.  After drive back to Karimabad. Overnight hotel.

DAY 06 Explore HunzaNagar

Morning visit the 800 years old watching towers and wooden carving mosques at Ganesh village and 4th century AD Rock carvings on the ancient Silk Road. After we drive to Gulmit a beautiful mountain village in upper Hunza. Visit Attabad tunnel, attabad lake hussaini Suspension Bridge, passu cones, and cultural Museum of traditional artifacts and afternoon drive to Borit lake and short hike to Gulkin glacier. Overnight hotel.

DAY 07 Explore HunzaNagar

Full day excursion to Khunjrab National Park, drive through the snow covered peaks towering above the scenic villages and passing through the Passu and Batura glaciers, explore the wildlife species of Ibexes, Marco polo sheep and wild yaks. After then we drive back to Gulmit. Overnight hotel.

DAY 08 Gulmit – Skardu

After breakfast drive to Skardu, the Gateway to high mountains and longest glaciers in Karakoram Range and a heaven for the enthusiasts for adventure lovers. visit upper kachura and lower kachura lake and shanrilla lake and transfer to hotel for overnight.

DAY 09 Skardu – Shigar valley

Day excursion to Shigar valley, the Gateway to K-2 (8611 meters) the second highest mountain in the world.Visit the 17th century Ad Mosque and Shigar Fort. Explore the area and drive back to Skardu. Overnight hotel.

DAY 10 Skardu – Khaplu

Morning drive to Khaplu valley, a beautiful mountain village on the Banks of Indus River, visit the 16th century Fort and Chaqchen Masjid with its Tibetan Architecture and explore the town of apricot tree blossom and after lunch drive back to Skardu. Overnight hotel.

DAY 11 Skardu – Naran/Besham

Morning departure to Naran/Besham  

 

DAY 12 Naran/Besham to islamabad

Departure for Naran/Besham to islamabad, local market visit and our night at islamabad

DAY13 Departure at Islamabad Airport

Depending on your departure time, you may have some free time in Islamabad for shopping or additional sightseeing. Our staff will transfer all our guests to the airport at their respective departure times and at the End of Tour.
